For the past six years, I’ve established myself as a journalist for consumer, newspaper, and trade publications. I’ve also written for magazines that covered Pennsylvania history to Alaskan business. I have the ability to take an assignment and find sources or use the sources that you provide. Additionally, I’ve completed three Ed 2 Go online courses, one in copy editing and two in writing. These courses taught me how to tighten my copy, as well as making me a better editor of my own work. And I began copyediting as part of my writing business. Added to my knowledge, I’m also able to quickly learn and research new topics—making me a versatile writer.

A little bit more about myself: I earned my English/Secondary Education degree from Alvernia College in Reading, Pa., where I graduated cum laude. While at Alvernia, I wrote for my college newspaper and was president of Sigma Tau Delta, an English honor society. Additionally, I began my freelance writing career writing for “penny saver” type newspapers, while still in college.

Currently, I’m a prolific freelance writer for an assortment of business and trade magazines; I've covered the mining industry in Alaska to worldwide Fair Trade organic teas and the Kona Coffee Festival in Hawaii. My writing credits have appeared in trade magazines, regional magazines, as well as the Ephrata (Pa.) Review and Lancaster (Pa.) newspapers. My focuses include Pennsylvania history and culture, landscape companies, agriculture, tea/coffee, and business. You can view my clips at: http://www.teaandcoffee.net/1207/tea.htm, and http://www.teaandcoffee.net/0105/tea.htm, http://www.writersweekly.com/success_stories/003693_10182006.html, and http://www.farmingmagazine.com/article.php?id=1570.

I’m flexible enough to accept article assignments and contacts, or I can brainstorm ideas to fit your editorial calendar. I look forward to hearing from you in the near future. Thanks so much for your consideration.
