| Allegorical narrative (or short novel, in volume of 100 pages) describing the eternal endevour of human beings to build ideal state. The heroes are beasts of a northern forest who, under some unusual circumstances, decide to change their life as to annihilate the stable enmity between herbivores and predators and to start living in peace and harmony. In a way the story is close, by its topic and allegorical language, to the Gerorge Orwell's "Animal Farm" (which I read after writing and publishing my novel), and it shares the same disappointment about building a paradise in mundane conditions. But it contains some principle differences, for it opens an area for mystic and a sort of metaphysical hope. Besides, it reflects my impressions of post-soviet time and refers to the latest history of Armenia.
The novel was written and published in Armenian. I got some excited responses, but still, as most of modern Armenian writers, I suffer the lack of readers and the lack of organization in the area of literature. | |
