| Crystal Balls is a chamber opera by Australian playwright
Justin Fleming and British composer Stephen Edwards about the
Elizabethan astrologer John Dee. There was a terrific review
in the Independent in London, which said that 'out of the spicy jingles
of Justin Fleming's libretto, real characters emerge in the
crucible of verbal invention'. It was a pick of the day for the
paper, which described it as an 'operatic Blackadder'. The
production toured southern England in February and
March 1995. |
