| Three gifted children, Katherine, Trevor and Chryseis attend a boarding school on the American east coast. They build a time travel device as part of a quantum physics project and discover a time portal during a school outing in a nature reserve.
They are transported 12,000 years back in time and are stunned to find a lost civilization, instead of cave dwellers. The children explore the city of Cydonia and can't believe how advanced this civilization really is. Their time travel experience becomes more and more fantastic and dangerous.
