Dubai: At a time when Iran is under negative publicity in the West, Anousheh Ansari, the first female space tourist and of Iranian descent, believes that her recent space trip helped show the country in a different light.
"Iran has been suffering from bad media and taking part in this trip provided the world with another look at that country. The trip also ... showed that women can do a lot if they want to."
Ansari was speaking to students at Zayed University on Tuesday about her out-of-space experience at the International Space Station and what she hopes to achieve now that she's back.
