| This book is part of the Hess Modern English Series of activity books for older Taiwanese children learning English as a second language. Each chapter presents exercises, new vocabulary words, group learning games to be played in class, and brief articles about the chapter's theme.
The book comes with a CD of original songs, exercises, and games related to the theme of each chapter.
I wrote chapter 6, "Festivals." The festivals that I wrote about are the Thai Songkran "Water Festival," the famous "Tomatino" festival in Spain, and the Calaveras County (California) Jumping Frog Festival, based on the famous short story by Mark Twain. |
