| "Stanley Learns to Duck" is the tenth book in the Hess Educational Organization's Step Ahead English Series. Hess is the largest publisher of children's English learning books in Taiwan.
Stanley is a Taiwanese boy who travels to Seattle, Washington, USA, for a month-long "homestay" with an American host family. In addition to studying English for a month, he tours several of Seattle's most famous attractions; becomes good friends with Jason, a boy in his host family who is about his age; experiences jet lag for the first time; and most importantly, learns that there is more than one meaning for the word, "Duck!" |
