| Love, hope and deep faith bind two families (and a community) together in this fictional story set in Bemidji, Minnesota. It begins in 1883 with a robbery and fire, supposedly committed by an employee. The crime is eventually solved in 2003 by the descendents of the person wrongly accused, who has unmercifully been sentenced to 50 years in prison. His family perseveres in uncovering the truth and his name is cleared.
The second family story line is a contemporary widow, along with her young son, moving back to her home state to begin a new life. She finds new love with an old friend, a career she always wanted and an amazing group of new friends who teach her what love and friendship are all about.
The resulting stories are filled with awakening love, renewed faith and plot twists. There are unique characters who add the dressing on the salad of life right when they are needed most. You'll laugh and cry, but in the end, hopefully have a fun read and be entertained. |
