| Everybody,this is a true story,and all the information is true. These were my real thoughts and the history I speak of between Jamie Liegh and Tanisha is true.....
As of this writing today, August 26th,2005, more than 3 months after the event in question, I still think that this event we call the Prom is still the best day Ive had in 2005. Even though I loved the movie "Land of the Dead", which i saw for the first time on its opening day. Not even all the zombies and gore in that movie, could eclipse the Prom. So,it's time for me to shed light on this groundbreaking day in my life.
It started for me bright and early that morning. I woke up, and went into "prepare mode" almost instantaneously. First of all, I trimmed my sideburns, making sure they looked cleaned up. After the Prom was over though, I had already made the decision to shave them off. After that, I did nothing of importance until 2:00. Then, while watching X-men 2, I cut my toe nails and fingernails,so as to make sure they looked proper and nice. That took me about 30 minutes, because i kept getting distracted. Upon finishing with that matter, I went to go get a shower. It was probably one of the most thorough showers I have ever taken. After finishing that, I went back into my room and layed down on my bed and started thinking:
If it wasnt for Myspace, I would not have 2 dates to the Prom. I first met Jamie Liegh, in January of 2005,and all she was doing was leaving me a comment basically saying "hey,i saw you were on my Myspace list, so i thought i would say hi". After that, I started to talk to her, I hope she will agree with me on this point,and we became fast friends.As a matter of fact, in late January, she told me she was coming down here got the Prom. I eventually asked her out to the Prom,but the first time,she said no. Basically, she already had a date, who was gonna take Tanisha and her to the Prom. But alittle after the 14th of February, her date started going out with his ex (both of whom I consider to be my friends),so he wouldn't be able to take them to the Prom now. I don't wanna sound like I was being a rebound man, because that was not my intention. I even waited a couple of days after that before i asked her. When I did,she said "Yes",but under one condition,we would go as friends. I think that was a fair condition, so I agreed. Shortly, after that, I started to talk to her friend also,Tanisha.
I became friends with Tanisha, which was pretty easy,because she was just as nice and sweet to me as Jamie Liegh. I eventually asked Jamie Liegh, if it was alright if I could take Tanisha too so we could all 3 go as friends,and she said yes. Tanisha and Jamie Liegh have been friends longer than I've known both of them combined. They've even managed to stay friends over along distance,because Jamie Liegh lives in Tennesee. Then i asked Tanisha, and she also said yes. I started saving up money,and then bought some prom tickets. Then, I went to Saavi's to get a tux. My tux costed me $100.50. The day before Prom, i got my tux,and also went to find the Aquarium,the site of the Prom.
Then around 12:30-1:00 that afternoon, Jamie Liegh and Tanisha stopped by my house. That was the first time that Jamie Liegh and Tanisha both met me. I hugged Jamie Liegh and Tanisha and then gave Jamie Liegh the ticket I had bought for her. We talked for a little bit,and then they left.
After that, I came back to present time. It's now about 5:30, so I start to get ready again. I am totally finished with everything by 6:30,even though my pants were hemmed a little short. For some reason, I decided to wear my Terminator-like shades with my black tux,and then my dad and I leave off for the Aquarium. I arrived at the Aquarium at basically at 7 o' clock on the dot. For the longest time, I stood outside and talked to my friends. Then I called Jamie Liegh and she she told me that her and Tanisha would be a little late because they were eating at a restaraunt first. So, after we finish chatting, i head in and go show the people my ticket,and they check my name off, and of course,Jamie Liegh's name was after mine, but someone mispelled her name,so on the paper it read "Jamie Lei" and I thought that may be a problem, but I figured if it became one, I would deal with this when the Problem arose. So I went into the Aquarium main entrance after going up a concrete walkway,and was then immediately felt up by Officer Holliwell.
After Holliwell gets his rocks off on "making sure I dont have a weapon" aka feeling up guys for the hell of it, he let me through. The song by Nelly, P. Diddy and Murphy Lee "Shake Ya Tailfeather" from Bad Boys II was playing. The first thing I did was just wonder around the Aquarium, taking in all the sights.Then, I discovered a table of food fit for the gods:It was filled with cheese. I took a picture of it,and then took a ample of amount of it,and then started eating those yellow pieces of heaven.
My friends Bob(aka Jason),Jonathan,Heather,Johnny and more went to sit down near some concrete steps.I saw that there was an elevator near them, but THAT wouldn't come into play until a little later. While waiting for Jamie Liegh and Tanisha to arrive, I go and find the refreshments table. I had a little bit of orange juice,but my drink of choice for the night was the sweet tea. But, from the amount of fun that I wound up having that night, a rumor has went around that I was drunk at the Prom. The truth is,I WASN'T DRUNK AT THE PROM. It goes to show you that you can't have alot of fun without someone saying something about you that will rain on your fun parade.
Well, around 9:30, I get a call on my cell. I answer it, and it's Jamie. "Hey,what's your last name?,"she asks. "Creech,"I tell her. "Alright, my last name was spelled wrong and they need verification." Well, they let her in,and after they get through the front doors, I greet both of them,giving each girl a hug. Then, i bring them over to introduce to my friends. Jonathan, by this time, has gotten tired of being at the Prom, and is going to be leaving to go see the movie "Kingdom of Heaven" shortly. Well,Jamie Liegh,Tanisha,and I all go to get our prom pic taken together,but the line is HUGE! It would at least be a 30 minute wait, so we decide to get a picture another way. We get one of Tanisha's friends to take the Picture.
I know,they look good in this picture,but I can't describe how beautiful they looked in person. They looked like two supermodels,they were so gorgeous.We then head our separate ways for a short time, and I start riding the elevators. I ride them nonstop for almost 30 minutes straight. Before Jonathan and his friends leave though, Jason accompanies me for one last ride. Basically on the way back down, before the doors would open, we pretended like we were getting it on. You should have seen the people's faces when the door opened, it was HILARIOUS. After that,I have made a promise to Paul that I will attempt a Spineroonie before the end of the Prom.
Well, Jamie Liegh and Tanisha then go hit the dance floor, and I go over to Paul and Karina,and we do a 3 person "butt grinding dance",Karina to Paul,and Me to Karina. That didn't help my argument about not being drunk,but it was fun nonetheless. Well, as it hits 12:00 almost everybody is gone, or in the process of leaving. I attempt the spineroonie on the dance floor as promise,and wind up busting my ass. Jamie Liegh and Tanisha are in line to get something where they can get out of the parking garage for free. I go over to them,give her and Tanisha both one more hug,and thank them for going with me. I leave the Aquarium and head home, knowing I just took part in something special. I get home,get undressed,and take a shower. After the shower, I pull out a shaver and shave my sideburns off,when I finish, I am suddenly hit by a wave of sadness. With that sadnes comes tears.Tears,for the realization that Jamie Liegh will be leaving back for Tennesee,and that I will probably never,EVER,have an experience,quite like this again,not even at my Senior Prom. I go to my room,and lay down in my bed, the clock reading 12:56, and with that, I am hit almost instantly with a rush of sleepyness, and I fall asleep shortly thereafter. And With that, I close the best day of 2005, or dare I even say it, my life.
