School of the Dead

CHAPTER 1:THE BEGINNING-WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 19, 2005:CHARLESTON,SOUTH CAROLINA 6:55am. "Shit man, why do we have to always get the really shitty jobs?", asks a man named Jack. "I dont know, but this is a top priority job right here. We've got to transport these canisters to the Charleston Air Force Base, because these canisters hold a toxic gas that is in the process of being tried out by the military." "Wow, Bob, thats crazy, ". The Van stops at a upcoming red light. All of a sudden, they hear sirens and see a car being chased by a police car. The speeding car tries to avoid the van, but to no avail, it slams right into the van at full speed. Bob and Jack are both killed instantly. The impact from the car sends the van rolling over, the canisters bumping around back and forth until it gets punctured, releasing the gas into the air and also into the nearby Cemetary.

CHAPTER 2:THE HORROR BEGINS....-Meanwhile, at Fort, everybody is doing what they always do before 1st period, just hanging out with their friends. CJ gets there a little later than usual, and heads over to where his friends Nick and Jason are at. "Yo man, what took you so long?", asks Nick. "Man, traffic is becoming a nightmare, "replies CJ, who is obviously pissed off about it by the look on his face. CJ chats with his friends, looking forward to another uneventful and boring day at Fort. Little does he know, its gonna be anything but normal..******At the site of the Crash, an ambulance pulls up, sirens lighted and blaring. With some help from some pedestrians, they are able to turn the van back on all 4 of its wheels. The sight that greets the paramedics is horrible. One man's face is scratched up badly, leaving muscle exposed, the other one, A piece of glass is stabbed into its neck. The Paramedic goes to unbuckle a man identified as Jack, when all of a sudden, Jack comes back to life, grabbing the Paramedic and taking a bite out of the paramedic 's neck, cutting the jugular vein in the process.The stunned Paramedic walks backward, arterial spray going everywhere. A couple of seconds later, he falls down dead. Somehow, Jack and Bob are able to get the seatbelts off. The Pedestrians watch, and dont even think to run away, until Bob and Jack start biting and eating other people around them.Then, the paramedic's eyes shoot wide open, and he too gets up, with now all white eyes, and blackened teeth.As soon as one person goes down after a bite, that person always gets back up, but now they look positively dead, with blackened teeth and all white eyes. Soon, there is almost a little army of undead stumbling about. They are all shambling in the same direction, to Fort Dorchester High School, for what reason they don't know, all they do know is that there is alot of food there.

CHAPTER 3:CLASS CHANGE-"Man, was it just me or was Mr. Thacker's class today more boring than usual?, "asks CJ. "Eh, i dont know, "replies Colton Daniels, one of his friends, a little chubby, with brown hair and glasses. "It depends, i mean at least he doesnt give you that much work." "Yeah, but the work he DOES give us has nothing to do with English at all, "replies CJ."And next i have African American studies next, which is may or may not be boring, "gripes CJ. "Well, I told you not to take it, "says Colton. "Yeah, yeah, for fuck's sake, you were actually probably right for once. BIG DEAL!!, "says CJ. "Well, I better go because I dont wanna keep being tardy and wind up getting suspended during my senior year, so ill talk to you later." And with that, CJ leaves to go to class. Colton does the same, and little do they know, they'll be talking to each other alot sooner than next period.

CHAPTER 4:THE JOURNEY-For the zombies, there is only one thing that matters, and thats food, and even though they are getting nearer and nearer to the school, one zombie decides it can't wait that long and shambles into the middle of the road. It sees a car coming and it reaches out to grab it, and the car keeps on driving then WAM!!!!!!!!It is ran over by the car, its head exploding like a popped baloon.The other zombies, though not smart, can tell that they would not find no food on the road. They walk now down Patriot Blvd.

CHAPTER 5:THE SIEGE OF THE UNDEAD-They go to the entrance and the school is now in sight. Officer Holliwell, seeing all these people walking toward him, gets mad. THERE IS NO TRESSPASSING ON THIS PROPERTY, Officer Holliwell thought.Even though, he is a Round and portly Man, he is too dumb to know hes picking a bad fight. After telling them to stop, which the people dont, he fires a round into one of their shoulders. It doesn't even faze them. He aims for the head this time, and he hits his market, Brain matter flying onto the "person" behind the one just shot.He tries to hold his own, but there's just too many of them, and only one of him. They take him down, and start biting. Fingers scratch all over his body. He can tell now that these people are clearly dead. They tear at his flesh, ripping open his chest, pulling out his intestines, and fighting over who gets to eat it, another one has just finished eating his hand, theres nothing but bone now. Before he can scream, a zombie takes a bite out of his throat, blood splurting everywhere. After Devouring Officer Holliwell, they start banging on the fiber glass windows on the Outside, its the only thing blocking them from food.By the Time the zombies are finally able to bust down the windows, another zombie has joined the Undead Ranks, and that zombie is Officer Holliwell. The zombies climb in through the broken window, and are immediately confronted by the Principal. "What the hell is going on here?", Mr. Payne demands. "Get the hell out of my school!". The zombies just stare at him and then all at the same time, start toward him. He of course, is no match, and goes down. He is bit on the face, and then a zombie bites out one of his eyes, the fluid in the eyeball going everywhere.

CHAPTER 6:RUDE AWAKENING-CJ is in the bathroom, when he hears the windows breaking in. He finishes peeing and goes into the hall to see what happened. He looks out the double doors near the restrooms, and sees a whole group of dead people, biting and tearing at Mr. Payne. He looks on with shock, then starts to take action. He closes both the double doors, and starts running down the hall, thinking to himself, "Man, this is some 'Dawn of the Dead' shit going on here, I gotta go warn my friends".And with that he starts going to all the classes his friends have, and asking the teacher if he can talk to them real quick. Some teachers say yes, and he gets them and tells them to follow him. But, some teachers say no, like his friend Brandon's teacher, she looks at CJ like he made fun of her mother. "No, you may not, "replies the Teacher sternly. "And if you dont get out of my class, im gonna write you up." CJ, dejected, leaves. He knows that the Teacher has sealed Brandon's fate. He is gonna die. But, CJ is gonna try to save as many friends as possible. He goes to Colton's class and the teacher lets him talk to CJ. "Listen Colton, we gotta go now, there is zombies roaming this school already, and we gotta find a way out or a way to outsmart them so-"Before CJ can say anything Colton cuts him off.."WHOA! What do you mean zombies? CJ, are you high?, ""No man, im not messing with you, i've seen it in front of my eyes!, "says CJ. "Whatever, man, "says Colton, who then heads back into his class."What was that all about?, "asks Tiffany, a cute friend of CJs, with brown hair and a supermodel figure, who goes to career school with him. "I dont know, "answers CJ truthfully, "but if we are going to survive this we have to band together, and work as a team." "Exactly, "says Tiffany. Before anyone else can say anything, they hear the double doors being knocked down, followed by a chorus of moans. "HOLY SHIT! YOUR NOT CRAZY!", screams Tiffany. She has a look of shock and horror on her face. "Well, we gotta hurry up, I still gotta go get Bryan, Cailtlin, Lindsey, and Ashley Milliken, but thankfully they're in the same class."And with that, CJ, Tiffany, and TJ set off to get the other 4.

CHAPTER 7:SCHOOL OF THE DEAD-It is getting harder to navigate the halls because more and more students are coming out of classrooms. The Freshmans start pouring out of the Freshman Academy, taking up the whole hallway there, and they are met by another class:THE UNDEAD CLASS!!! The Undead meet them head on, and in a matter of minutes, most of the freshmen are gone, or more accurately, DEVOURED, Intestines laying on the floor, zombies slipping on all the blood that was spilt on the floor. But a couple of freshman got away... Kevin Perper, seeing the zombies tearing apart the Freshmen, immediately rushes to the other side of the hallways leading into the lunchroom. He thinks he'll be able to sneak out of the school, but as soon as he comes crashing through the cafeteria doors, he is greeted by 20 or 30 zombies, who start biting him all over, he screams, and then disappears from sight, the zombies totally engulfing him. CJ and the rest of the group get to the classroom. He hears screams, and looks through the little glass window on the door, and sees a zombified Mr. Payne biting their Biology Teacher. CJ opens the door and goes to Lindsey, Caitlin, Bryan, and Ashley Milliken and tells them to head out into the now deserted hall for the present time. Then, CJ, looking at his surroundings, and goes to grab a beaker filled with some kind of acid and smashes it over the zombie Mr. Payne's head, the acid melting what little skin on Mr. Paynes face off, then eventually melting the skull. Mr. Payne's body falls and stays down, something unusual for corpes today. CJ and the rest of the group head to the 1st year ROTC room, and see one of the instructors lying in a pool of blood. They take a key out of the instructor's pocket and 4 of them start dragging the instructors body outside, and TJ Blackwood goes to lock the door, and succeeds, but before he can close the door, the Instructor's eyes shoot wide open, white eyes now visible, and bites TJ in the leg, blackened teeth tearing out a chunk of flesh. "Aaaah!!!!", TJ screams, before regaining his senses, and then giving the zombie instructor a swift kick to the head, snapping its neck instantly. He then closes the door and they all sit down, trying to figure out what is happening. "Alright, let's start with what we know, "starts CJ. "Contrary to what we may have been told or believe, those things out there are reanimated corpses, better known as zombies. Just like in a fuckin' Romero movie, they like to eat people. The only ways to kill them that I know of are to snap their neck, or destroy the brain." "Yeah, "TJ interrupts, "and their bites hurt like a bitch." "Oh shit man, "says CJ."TJ, when were you bitten?""When I was closing the door, "responds TJ."We have to do something about your wound, "says Lindsey. She goes into the instructors office and grabs one of their service coats because they won't be needing it anymore. She grabs some scissors, and cuts a part of the jacket off. She then goes back into the first year room. She immediately wraps it around TJ's Still bleeding leg.Next, she ties it in a knot as tight as possible.

CHAPTER 8:THE PLAN-"What are we gonna do?"asks Ashley Milliken, a cute girl with shoulder length blonde hair and a cute smile, but with now a look of panic on her face. "We gotta get out of here!"she continues, walking to the door. "NO, WAIT!"screams CJ. "Listen, "begins CJ, "we have to work together. If we dont figure out a plan together, we are all going to die. If all of us try to do our own thing, those things are gonna tear us apart out there! We've got to have a plan that everybody agrees to, because as you've already seen happen to other people today, if we don't learn how to cooperate and work together, then this may be the end of mankind as we know it." "Im not ready to die, "says Ashley. "None of us are either, and that's the point. If we all work together and watch each other's back, none of us will.", says CJ. "Shit, the bleeding isn't stopping, "says TJ, a look of pain etched on his face. CJ looks down, and the bandage, formerly all blue, is now a reddish purple, and droplets of blood are dropping down his leg."TJ, I know this is gonna be painful, but what we're gonna have to do is get up on this instructor's desk, and have to climb up into the cieling. We've got to find away to get to Mr. Roller's room, there may be a phone there, and climbing through the ductwork is the only way to do that without risking anyone getting bitten, "says CJ. "Im not gonna be able to make it all the way, "TJ informs CJ. "Fine, we'll go half way, and if the coast is clear as it should be, then we'll drop down, and have to run the rest of the way, "says CJ.

CHAPTER 9:THE FIRST BETRAYAL-One by one, they all get up into the ductwork and when they crawl to the designated spot, after making sure its pretty much clear, they all drop down. TJ is the last and immediately screams from the pain, when his feet hit the ground. CJ turns around and sees a group of 5 zombies shuffling toward them. "Bryan, help TJ. Everyone else, follow me!, "CJ says before running to Mr. Roller's Room. TJ is slowing Bryan down, so the zombies are getting closer to the both of them. Bryan takes a look back, then takes a look at TJ, and TJ realizes what Bryan is about to do. Wide-eyed, TJ says"Bryan, don't do-"is all TJ can say before Bryan lets go of him, saying "Sorry"though not sounding like he really meant it. "Bryannnnnnnnn!!!!"TJ Screams as the zombies bite at him. The last things TJ feels before he dies is betrayal and intense anger.

CHAPTER 10:THE OTHER SURVIVORS-Bryan is the last one to make it into Mr. Rollers room and promptly shuts the door. He is introduced to Mike Burns, Matthew Wine, and Elizabeth. "What happened to TJ?, " asks CJ."Oh, well..."starts Bryan, "...he was slowing both of us down, so he told me to go on and save myself since he was pretty much dead anyway, "finishes Bryan, not looking CJ in the eyes. "Well, I've got good news and bad news, "starts CJ."The bad news is that the phone in here is like much of the population of this school, DEAD.But, Mike says hes good at Chemistry and mixing chemicals, and if we can get to a Chemistry class and a janitorial closet, then he can fix up a pipe bomb that we can use to blow up this whole school, destroying all the zombies. But in order to get to these places, we're gonna have to go through the halls to get to these classrooms, more than likely having to go through zombies on the way. Well, Mike here has got some make-shift bludgeoning tools to use, " and with that CJ lifts up a broken-off chair leg and walks over to the door. They can already hear the zombies banging on the other side. "You ready?, "CJ asks, looking at everybody in the room. "About as ready as we're gonna be, " says Caitlin, and with that CJ opens the door, pushing back the zombies with the chair leg.

CHAPTER 11:THE CHEMISTRY ROOM-"LET'S GO!, "Screams CJ, and they all exit the room. As Matthew makes his way out though, he is grabbed by a zombie, and he knocks the zombie down, and is then grabbed by 3 or 4 more from behind. They start biting his arm, and then, they take a chunk out of his neck.He falls, they rip open his chest and one zombie rips out his heart and bites on it, chunky, black stuff shooting out. The others continue onto Mrs Muse's Chemistry class. In there, they find, of all people, Colton, cowering in the corner. With Colton's help, they find all the chemicals they need, and Mike starts mixing. Colton explains to CJ that as soon as the zombies started attacking he ran out of his classroom and went in here, where he's been hiding ever since. While Colton is telling his story, Lindsey's arms starts to itch. She looks down at her arm and sees a bite, and she quickly pulls something over it, so nobody will see it. After Colton finishes the story, CJ gets up and looks around at everybody and says"Everybody, listen up. Colton, Bryan, and I will go clear the halls a little bit." So, the three of them head out in opposite directions to kill some straggling zombies.

CHAPTER 12:THE SECOND BETRAYAL-While running through the school, Colton finds of all people, his freshman Brother, Brian Daniels. Colton goes over to him and taps him on the shoulder, "Hey Brian, what are you doing standing out here? We've gotta get out of here."His brother turns around, and bites Colton on the neck, blood splurting everywhere, Colton Screams.******Bryan Nelson watches from far away the whole time. He knew Colton's brother was a zombie, but decided it was better for Colton to find that out himself. Bryan starts running away, a smile on his face, when he sees TJ stumbling around. "Man, my luck keeps getting better and better, "says Bryan, heading over to TJ.

CHAPTER 13:REVENGE-He swings the chair leg at TJ, but TJ grabs it, pulling Bryan toward him. TJ opens his mouth and takes a bite out of Bryan's shoulder. Bryan falls back, and TJ falls on top of him, TJ bites Bryan's lip off, then takes a chunk out of his arm. Bryan screams.....CJ, meanwhile, hears the Scream, and head to where he heard it. He sees TJ reaching into Bryans mouth and ripping out his tongue. Then, TJ puts the tongue in his own mouth, and starts chewing. Repulsed, CJ runs back to the Chemistry class to find the door open with nothing but a body on the floor covered in blood. The body belongs to Elizabeth. There are bite marks all over her body. "What the hell happened here?, " CJ thinks. He walks alittle ways down the hallway and heads towards the Janitors closet. He sees a zombie with long blond hair banging on the door. "It's a pretty safe bet they're in there, "CJ says. The zombie slowly turns around.......IT'S LINDSEY!!!!!!!!! CJ can't bring himself to kill her, seeing as even though she's a zombie now, she was once one of his friends, so instead he pushes her away, and makes his way into the Janitor's Closet.

CHAPTER 14:THE SACRIFICE: He sees Mike putting the finishing the final touches on the bomb. CJ looks at Caitlin, and asks her"What happened back there?", and he nods his head at the door, indicating Lindsey, who has started banging on the door again. "Well, we're not really sure, "starts Caitlin, "One second everything was normal, and the next thing we know, Lindsey's attacking Elizabeth. We noticed that there was a bite mark on Lindsey's arm. That must be how they spread so fast. If you get bitten, you become one of them in a matter of time.""Alright, Done!, "says Mike, looking accomplished, then a look of sadness appears on his face."But there's one problem, "continues Mike, someone's gonna have to stay in the school to light the bomb." The room goes silent, only the sounds of Lindsey banging on the door invading upon the silence. Everyone looks at each other. With a sigh, CJ looks at Tiffany and asks, "Hey, Tiffany. You got a lighter?". "Why?, "Tiffany asks, "I thought you didn't smoke." "Im not gonna use it to smoke, "says CJ solemnly. A look of realization dawning on her face, Ashley says "CJ, don't do it, " while fighting back tears. CJ walks over to Ashley, and gives her a hug, then he says "Dont worry about me. I dont want to go, too many of my friends died here because I didnt do my best and wasnt fast enough:Kevin, Colton, Bryan, TJ, Lindsey, Matthew, and Elizabeth." He gets the lighter from Tiffany, and looks at everybody one last time. "Alright, I think it is time for all of you to go." He opens the door, pushing back Lindsey, and everybody but CJ exits, and runs down the hall to the exit. CJ starts off toward the main lobby, and waits. "Well, "starts CJ, "I always wanted my senior year to end with a bang." The zombies are now on him, Lindsey, Bryan, and Colton start biting him. He puts the lighter to the pipe, and it ignites, sending a huge fireball through the halls and through the roof, a huge ball of flame and smoke rising in the air. The force of the explosion lifts Mike, Ashley, Caitlin, and Tiffany in the air and carries them a few more feet before they crash to the ground. After a minute or so, they all get up, and Mike, brushing himself off, says "Well, at least its all over."

CHAPTER 15:THE END?-Meanwhile, in Coosaw Creek, someone is driving a car down a street when, they see someone stumbling around, seriously injured. They stop their car and get out. The driver says to the person "Sir, are you alright?" and he goes to tap the person on the shoulder. The "person" turns around and bites the driver. The Driver panics, gets in his car and speed off..THE END...FOR NOW
