This is Single Cell Press' first release and proved to be hugely successful during its run. The book is now onto its third re-print and is a semi-autobiographical work by Scottish writer Jackie Gilroy.

Thugs and Thieves is the story of an unknown gang in a backwater town on the West coast of Scotland. More than just another right’s of passage tale, Gilroy illustrates the poison that drives bigotry and sectarianism as well as the shocking conclusions reached in such an environment. The commentary is a filth strewn alpha gorilla adolescent rant not fit for human consumption but spectacularly representative of reality. In a town condemned to poverty and deprived of a cultural fix then this, Gilroy argues, is what you get.

"Thugs and Thieves" is available for £3 including ALL postage internationally from http://www.singlecellpress.co.uk
