| Traditions Runs Through It: Environment and Recreation in Provo Canyon ("TRTI") was sponsored by the Library of Congress American Folklife Center (a leader in ethnographic field research since 1976) and Brigham Young University ("BYU") on behalf of the Utah Heritage Project. The ethnography was conducted by researchers who participated in the 2005 Field School For Cultural Documentation at BYU; they formally presented their work at the August 5 TRTI exhibit opening at BYU's L. Tom Perry Special Collections. The exhibit was co-sponsored by the Charles Redd Center for Western Studies. The complete collection of TRTI photographs, recorded interviews, field notes, items of material culture, audio logs and sound logs is archived at the Wilson Folklore Archives at BYU. |
