Happiness is the only common goal of all mankind. It can only be achieved from within. Nothing has much value if it cannot make us happy and no amount of success can bring satisfaction if we do not have inner peace.
Happiness is often confused with pleasure. We find people running after pleasure pursuits in the hope of finding happiness, but the two are not the same. Pleasure can never replace happiness.
Another important thing we have to know about happiness is that it cannot be attained by wrong means. We have to deserve it, and deserve it right. No one else can make us happy either, we have to learn to be happy ourselves.
Happiness is a feeling of peace; it is the gratification of the heart and soul. It is an internal realisation and can only be realised from within. The most encouraging fact about happines is that all of us can learn to be happy. And it is easy to be happy.
