Have you ever seen a forest with only one tree?

one tree standing alone

no forests have hundreds of trees? ....all alike

like clones of one another

but then theres that one tree

a tree that stands out

a tree different from the rest

it may not be perfect

it may not be tall

but it stands alone

and it is the most beautiful tree

beautiful in all of its imperfections

alone in the forest of clones

in a world of all things the same

it is different

the kind of thing that makes you stop and stare

to gaze at its beauty

its mysteriousness<

its ability to be unalike the rest

to branch out

to be free

to arise from the conformities of the world

and in that the tree may not be as tall

or as perfect as the others

but it rises above

i wish i was like that tree...
