| Freedom is seldom free. For the majority of people on this planet it comes at a great price. For Alex Domokos, freedom was very costly indeed. He suffered six years of slave labour, deportation and separation from those he loved.
After he escaped from Hungary in 1956, he and his wife were still not free. They were bound emotionally to their families who were still in Hungary. Tragically, they had been forced to leave their daughter behind with her grandparents. Marietta was only three years old.
Join Alex in his journey to freedom. He will take you to the slave labour camps of post World War II Russia; you will travel with him to his place of deportation after his release as a POW; and journey with him in a harrowing escape from Hungary and the clutches of the feared AVO |
