“Chrysalis” by Louise Karczmarz is an anthology of poetry that takes a walk through the emotional highs and lows of life. Written during Louise's teenage years and early twenties it covers common problems of those times including depression, suicide, love and crushes. An honest reflection stripped of self-consciousness, Chrysalis allows the reader to take a brief glimpse through another's eyes. Not written entirely from the author’s perspective there are one or two humorous pieces to lighten the burden and exercise those facial muscles.
Chrysalis" in it's original format could not look much more different to what you see before you. It has evolved from scraps of paper and napkins scribbled in several colours to the anthology it is now.
Written at some of the most emotional points of life they are lucky to have made it to the present day. Many did not. Cast aside because they brought back too many memories these few remain as a testiment to those times. In order for a caterpillar to become a butterfly they must go through a period of time alone. Chrysalis.
