| Rosemarie Keller Skaine's "Dear John" actually written when she was 17, depicts the young teens lack of desire to get married to Bob Trentz who is in the Navy. Skaine's mother acculturated her to get her education first and marry later. That's what she did. So, she wrote Bob a "Dear John." She married someone else later just before her last year in college. (She finished college.)
