|Two of my children's stories were published in this anthology:
"A Way With Critters" - Chelsea Stuart didn't fit in with the other kids. The only good quality she could think of was her way with critters. Then she met Ugly Aggie and found out she was worth a lot more than that after all.
"Turnabout" - Cindy Foster worked hard and saved her money so she could buy her mom a nice present to cheer her up. Then one day she discovered her money was missing from her school locker. Suspicions pointed to Rosa Mae Mann, and Cindy was determined to get her money back. She went to Rosa Mae's home and found out more about the older girl then she intended. Things weren't exactly as they seemed.
The membership of the Saskatoon Writers Bookclub submitted dozens of contributions for this book, and the editing committee selected only those entrants that they deemed "good enough" for inclusion. I submitted two stories, both of which were chosen.
The book was sold privately by members, as well as delivered to local bookstores for sale. In the small local area, well over 500 copies were sold.
Excerpts of both the above stories can be found in my online writing portfolio: http://members.shaw.ca/sandra-bell/index.html
