This book is an album consisted of the two relevant contents. One is special topic on the Yellow Emperor, a Chinese legendary figure who is praised as the creator of Chinese civilization. The other is on Chinese dragon, a ledengary creature which influences Chinese traditional culture for millennia. The main collection of this book with background characteristic of times ranging from the Neolithic Age down to the modern times, shows the whole course of the evolution and development of the dragon culture in Shaanxi area. It also contains many significant sceneries and historic photos about the mausoleum of the Yellow Emperor. The article written by Li Xixing summarizes the far reaching influence of the Yellow Emperor and the dragon upon the formation and development of the traditional Chinese culture.
