Robert Brickell

Bluffton, South Carolina, United States

Email: rtbrickell@aol.com

I was a successful business (advertising and public relations) executive with Eastman Kodak for many years, and have been published in myriad technical journals including: CNC West, American Machinist, Production Control & Management, Technical Photography Journal, Sales & Marketing Management, and Industrial Computing. I was also the editor of Kodak’s IAPD Journal of Digital & Electronic Imaging.

Have completed one Novel: The Devil's Kitchen, a suspense-ridden thriller, charged with intrigue and revenge, love and sex, and obsession and manipulation, as they relate to the life of protagonist Jonathan Brady Thomas, a man incapable of escaping the roots of his past. It is fast-paced, reminiscent of Nelson DeMille, Jack Higgens, Robert Ludlum, and David Morrell, high-suspense, and highly commercial.

Convinced that he has finally and completely escaped the tentacles of COMMEX (a covert government agency so powerful it can control a person’s destiny) and Colonel Tyrone Prescott (the manipulative head of COMMEX), Brady’s life in Sedona, AZ is turned upside down by events that ultimately hurl him back into the horrid, convoluted world from which he had once escaped. A world that took away from him everything he once held dear, threatens to do so again. This time, he stands to lose his new-found life, the woman he has come to love, and a daughter thought long dead, little aware that the unfolding events had been carefully mapped out years earlier by the autocratic Colonel Prescott. LOBO is a story of action and consequence, vengeance and vulnerability; a story that says ‘there are times when the end is so unquestionably vital that the means to that end must be overlooked’.

I am working on the first of a three-book 'Jake Slaughter' series and outling the sequel to 'The Devil's Kitchen'.

Interests: Fiction: thrillers / suspense / cross-genre, Mass Market Technical / promotional writing
