Jacket and The Wine Red Road. I just finished writing my third novel, Where Once
Was Peace. I’m now working on my fourth novel, Death of A Ditch Rider.

The Wine Red Road and Death of A Ditch Rider are murder mysteries. Favorite
authors include Robert B. Parker, Elmore Leonard, Michael Connelly, Dick Francis,
Agatha Christie, Raymond Chandler and Dashiell Hammett.

I worked for several years as a small-town newspaper reporter, editor, publisher,
and freelance contributor to magazines. I currently publish a blog titled “According
to Sam and Jim,” which can be found at accordingtosamandjim.blogspot.com.
I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree from The Evergreen State College in Olympia,
A plaque above my desk expresses my philosophical bent pretty well, “I wish I was
a bear. Everyone would expect me to have hairy legs, excess body fat and wake up
growling,” but my personal mantra is “be kind, give hope."
