Agent: Looking for one
Huntsville, Alabama, United States
For the past six years I wrote regularly two columns, twice a month, for Internet Basics" and Net Surfer; I have covered topics from book, software and hardware reviews to how-to series on setting up a webstore and getting started in XML. In addition, each year I usually wrote two or three feature articles of 3,000 to 5,000 words for Computer Currents. Magazines such as Computer Life, Civil War Times Illustrated, and Independent Business have published my work; online sites such as C|Net have as well.
I have also had experience as a headline hunter for MyFamily.com. Every weekday I found 20 news headlines relating to genealogy, family history and ancestry; edited them for relevance and posted them to Web.
For seven years, I was publications and communications director for the Society of Logistics Engineers. I was the paid staf member in charge of all publications, p.r. and marketing for the society, internally and externally.
Before that I was a reporter, and a staff writer for C. A. Parshall on a contract with Fort Knox to write training materials.
I want to start a novel, and expand my non-fiction freelance career.
