In addition to being a technical writer for the telecommunications and semiconductor industries for 25 years, my insatiable wanderlust and love of all things Latin inspired Cult of the Jaguar, my novel about ancient Mayan ritual and a modern Mexican vacation gone sour; and Tina Modotti’s Mexico, a biography about a complex and controversial woman. A few years ago, after writing the final college tuition check for my youngest daughter, I moved from San Diego to San Juan del Sur on Nicaragua’s Pacific Coast where I continue to write and also involve myself in volunteer projects.
