Non-fiction novel of three tours hauling cargo on every river in the I-Corps area of Vietnam from 1965 to 1968 and just how our life was on the rivers then.
At present living in Tuy Hoa, Phu Yen province of Vietnam with my great wife and running our little cafe, Bob's Cafe American.
Working on the second book about the boats and the war.
'The Bridge at the End of the World' Memories of the 860 boat, 'Blueberry Pie' (call sign) and the 'Arizona Territory' during part of 1966. Stories of despair, death, hate, giving up on life, almost being over-run, piles of bodies, the death of an entire village and a family I was fond of -- the worst parts of the war.
Interests: Bonsai, writing, reading, photography and touring Vietnam.
