Sharon is an avid reader. Born in the Pacific Northwest, she has remained there all her life. She has expressed herself through writing since age thirteen.
Her article, Taming the Teatimers, on how to run an online critique group was picked up by many online newsletters for writers.
In July 1998, she was honored by the Pacific Northwest Writer's Conference competition as a finalist for her first manuscript, Mountain of the Fog Givers. In February 1998, she received an Honorary Mention award in the Other Side of Creativity Warm Fuzzy contest for her short-short story, A Santa-Jesus Christmas. Her first short story, The Silent Stalker, was published by the e-zine Electronic Writers Guild (EWG Presents) in December 1997. In 1992, she received Editor's Choice award from the National Library of Poetry.
She makes her home in Port Orchard, Washington with her husband Lawney and their pets: Ginger, a rambunctious German Shepherd and Hugo the cat, otherwise known as Ginger's chew toy.
