With a father in the Navy, I grew up all over the United States. After college I joined the Peace Corps and spent 17 years in Cameroon. A short story, "Etoundi's Monkey" was published in The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction. I now live in France. I have taught writing and American literature at the University of Agen and am currently teaching English in a lycée. I translated Les Jardiniers de Dieu which was published by One World as God's Gardners. I have written a fantasy novel which has not yet found a publisher and Knight with a Briefcase, the life of Ezzat Zahrai.
