My name is Jason. I'm 33 years old, and was just recently published for the first time. My first project sat unfinished for almost four years until I met a secondary editor through total chance who looked over the work and convinced me it was good enough to be published. I just recently finished my second project and am working on submitting it right now. I have several more projects in mind and a possible contract with one of them. I would be extremely gracious if the publishers decide to take me on, only since writing is something that has only been a hobby of mine since I was in my mid-teens.

While I was in high school, I began taking creative writing courses and literature, reading through all the popular authors such as Poe and others; my main reading while in school was short stories and poems, but I have found that I have taken that knowledge and turned it into writing full scale novels. I have a collection of shorts that may go out, I haven't decided on that yet though.

I discovered that when I sit down to put a project together that once I start, it often flows with ease, and I can get quite a bit done if I put my mind to it. The last project took me just over eight months to complete, and I didn't touch it for almost a month since I had hit a block in the story I wasn't sure how to get around. I managed to do it, however, and the end product is incredible. Everyone that has looked at it has been in awe, earning me an umbudsman from a local University.

I have always loved scary movies, and things that make the skin crawl, either with anticipation or fear. Some authors out there can do it with little effort, and I hope one day to become one of them. I have always enjoyed reading Stephen King and Dean Koontz novels, only since they are some of the best in the genre. While I don't expect to become either of them, I would enjoy even modest success in writing what I do.
