Born in New York in the 1960s and brought up on a horse ranch in Nevada, the author moved to California in the early 1980s to attend UCLA on an Army ROTC scholarship.
After completing his B.S. in Biochemistry, the author served in the U.S. Army as a commissioned officer. the author served in one of the first Patriot Air Defense Artillery Battalions, was Airborne qualified, served as a NATO evaluator in the Federal Republic of Germany prior to the reunification of the two German states, was awarded the Army Commendation Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster and Army Achievement Medal with Two Oak Leaf Clusters and achieved the rank of Captain before returning to civilian life.
The author worked in sales and sales management for several companies involved in integrated voice processing, specialty chemicals, and environmental equipment.
After serving in the U.S. Army, 12 years of sales and sales management experience, and at the age of 37, the author retired and spends much of his time in Costa Rica.
The author has been to 16 countries and 24 states in the United States and has lived in five states in the U.S., and in Germany and Costa Rica. The author is divorced and has two sons. The author can be reached at Caine7777777@hotmail.com.
