When people ask me when I started writing, I never know what to say. I've written for as long as I can remember, from short tales scrawled with wax crayons to longer work bashed out on my mother's old typewriter to full-blown short stories submitted to a creative writing nightclass. It's just always been something I've done.
I think I must have been about 16 when I decided being a writer was something I definitely wanted to do, and in the ten years since that decision, I've written various short stories and works of flash fiction. Some of these have been published online, some of them haven't. Some of them will probably never see the light of day. Thanks to 2008's NaNoWriMo competition, I also finished my first novel, which I've finally decided to redraft. Let the editing begin...
