What can I say? I'm another aspiring writer, so here goes.

I have a 'normal' day job, which I sometimes enjoy and gives me enough challenges to keep me going and I have had a passion for reading ever since I can remember. Sound familiar?

I've had the urge to write for years but had the usual doubts about my ability, discipline and energy.

But now, in my late twenties, I decided to take the plunge. I felt if I didn't give it a go, I would never know.

My day job is demanding and stressful but I forced myself to remain disciplined; so I wrote in the weekends and some evenings.

Nine months, around eighty thousands words and countless writer's blocks later, I did it. And it felt amazing.

I believe writing should be about capturing others' imagination with creativity, whilst carrying a message to the reader. I have ideas for the next two books; completely different ones and if there is the tiniest chance I could make a go of this, I will grab it with both hands.

The book I wrote is probably close to the style of my favourite author Haruki Murakami. It mixes fantasy with history and mystery.

Anyway, Iím here because I want to exchange ideas and give/receive support from other authors. The process of getting a publisher seems a daunting one and I wouldnít even know where to start. But I would love people to read my first attempt and give me genuine feedback.

I am genuinely happy to be a part of this forum and canít wait to start the journey.
