My complete biography is listed in Marquis' Who's Who of American Women, Who's Who in America, and Who's Who in the World.
I have been writing for many years. My publications include: Guideposts Angels on Earth magazine (feature story), Guideposts for Kids (super comic strip story),The Sierran, The Ohio Environmental Council Newsletter, Midwest Poetry Review (several award-winning poems), Lyric magazine (poetry), Writer's Digest magazine (critique of award-winning poetry), House Blessings (a book about cottage living), and Ordinary Heroes (a young adult novel).
Writing awards include: Outstanding Ohioan, The Editor's Choice Award, and others.
I have been both writer and editor, served as Chair of Education for the United Methodist Church, taught Sunday School and Christian Preschool, and mentored troubled teens. Currently I am co-chair of the Parks and Preservation of Natural Spaces Caucus of Knox County Citizens for Smart Growth, and member of the Knox County Regional Planning Commission.
Together with my husband I own and operate a Bed and Breakfast Inn nestled on 5 acres of landscaped rolling gardens and walking areas. The Federal style Inn is the focal point of the property. But many guests prefer the barn which boasts a bookloft with 10,000 books. Beware; I am known to recite poetry while serving breakfast! Come see us at The Chaney Manor Bed and Breakfast Inn. Interests: Writing is my first love, of course! I also enjoy reading, gardening, music, gourmet cooking, and being active in the protection of natural resources.
