Roger B Rueda has a degree in mass communications. He was named a Fellow for Poetry to the U.P. National Writers’ Workshop in 2002 and a Fellow for Fiction to the Iligan National Writers' Workshop of MSU-IIT in 2005. His essays, poems, and short stories have been published in Philippine Panorama, Home Life, The Sunday Times, NCCA Mantala, Panay News's Files, and Hiligaynon. He has worked as administrative staff for a graduate school and as ESL teacher/publication adviser at college. He has been invited as grammar and creative writing resource-speaker by several colleges. Currently, he works as ESL/writing teacher at Jinsoo Foreign Language Institute, Inc., as reviewer/lecturer at International Service Consulting and Management, and as managing and articles editor of itravel Philippines magazine. He is all of thirty and writes in English, Hiligaynon, and Filipino. Currently, he has published an English grammar book (CentralBooks), is writing a Hiligaynon grammar book (CentralBooks) and compiling Hiligaynon words for his Hiligaynon-English, English Hiligaynon dictionary (CentralBooks). He writes a column--Conspectus-- in Panay News. His column Vignette appears in itravel Philippines magazine where he is the managing and articles editor.
