Nisar Hussain Bukhari is a Pakistan origin author settled in the United Arab Emirates for the last 39 years. He received his Master of Science with honours (Ravian), and Master of Arts degrees from the University of Punjab, Lahore. Through academics and later as a lecturer in the education department he wrote fiction and non-fiction, short stories and articles for self, relations and friends. These got published in various magazines of Pakistan and some of them won literary contests. He had been a member of various literary associations.
He arrived in Dubai in 1970. Eversince, he served the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority as Head of the Laboratory for Water Quality Control on the consumer’s end, for 35 years. During this period he wrote his Urdu novel "Chahton Ka Safar" (The Journey of Love) in 1993 and it is still in circulation. He has also written some TV plays which may soon go into production.
