Emmanuella Nduonofit

Can I first of all say that I am finding it quite difficult to upload my picture here. I believe it has something to do with my browser. Is there a way this little problem can be solved from your end there, please? Let me just thank you in advance, for the audience at least.

Well, em, my name is Emmanuella. I am a West African, currently residing in Nigeria, a Nigerian by birth. I entered the world of writing at the age of twelve with 'once-upon-a-time' short stories that I gathered into a small notebook, all pencilled though some a bit illegible, with stars stickers on the front my English teacher gave me to indicate how good those stories were. I was in Vienna, Austria, by then. I also write poetry and stage-plays as well.

I'm not published yet (in book form) but I have sent my works out (poems, most of all) to one newspaper and a couple of online magazines and an african writers' website: www.writerrslodge-ng.com.

I am a maniac reader as well, (one never writes without reading anyway) but because of the menial job I do now (admin officer in a co-operative society) and because of a few job-switching, my reading and writing have suffered a bit.

I am glad to have joined this forum, for it is an opportunity to stretch out to the world. I may not constantly be online, but I'll do the best I can when I am. Thank you for your audience.

Interests: Reading, travelling, listening to contemporary instrumental jazz music and the BBC, playing chess, table-tennis and basketball
