Be silent for a while
For my love is as quiet as the grave
And yet speaks like the boundless ocean, with more words than have been uttered over her since the world began.
Yet speak for a bit.
For my ear delights in hearing your words.
My eyes soak up every drop of yours.
Every gesture, every expression, I take into myself
Stay near me always.
You gladden my spirits, and make me wish that I could stretch my arms to you, knowing that you would wrap yourself within.
Yet never come within my sight.
For as we talk and laugh I see your look stray to another
With eyes you will never have for me.
Oh, by the way, Im 20 years old, and Im living on toast and cereal.
