I am 31 years old, married, and I have been working toward being a serious writer for the past year. I have a manuscript that is almost finished and I have actually been accepted for publication by Tate Publishing Company. My only problem is that they charge an author investment fee upfront of nearly 4000 dollars that is refundable after you begin selling books. That is a huge red flag to me. I was really excited at first and I am sure they are a fine publishing company, but I just can't put up the 4000 dollars. I don't have that kind of money. They liked my work very much and compared my work to being the next Beaverly Cleary type thing by Judy Blume. That is the type of work I am doing basically. A coming of age type of novel. I have loved to read and write since I was very young and it has been a dream for a long time. I would love nothing more than to begin having a serious career as an author. I work full time right now and have some other heavy demands in my life which take a lot of time away from my writing. As I said, I have had an offer from Tate Publishing, but haven't been able to move forward with that offer and see my book actually progress toward publication because of the initial up front fee. So, I am looking for another avenue, a different Publisher that will hopefully be a better situation for me and get my book published!

Interests: I am a writer, working on my first novel right now. I am about three fourths of the way done and very much want to establish myself as a writer. I think I would appeal to young women and young adult women.
