Kaila hasn't stopped moving since she was born. Never staying in one place longer than two years, she developed a passion for travel early in life. From this stemmed a fantastic interest in other cultures and in how the world works.
She studied journalism for her undergraduate degree, and then spent a year teaching English in Japan, where she developed a desire to learn more about international politics. The following year, she took her Masters degree in international relations at Sussex University in England.
While in England, Kaila developed her talents for public relations while working for an international search engine optimization company. However, the travel bug would not let her rest for too long, and soon enough she was on her way to Southeast Asia to begin an exciting year of exploration, learning, and of course, writing.
She has created the website www.blondetraveler.com, a girl's guide to Southeast Asia. Not only does she keep it up-to-date with how-to articles and other kinds of important information for girls traveling the region, but she keeps her own personal blog on the site always fresh and always entertaining.
She is now working on turning Blonde Traveler into a published travel guide, and a fiction book about a girl who finds herself living with a tribe of homoflorensis people in Indonesia, and is put to work doing reconnaissance for them on Southeast Asian affairs. Interests: Travel writing, international journalism, creative writing, metaphysics, international
politics and, of course, dancing
