I began writing with a passion since I was first published at the age of ten. My poems number upwards of 400, and I have about 100 greeting cards in addition to my photographic cards that have been available in the many galleries I've been represented in. It has been a wonderful learning process getting to work with different editors on topics as diverse as homelessness, domestic violence, arts, artists and art events, restaurant reviews, tourist attractions along with music and performing arts reviews.

Writing has helped me to secure numerous jobs, including a temporary position for the United States Department of Agriculture. The job included preparing articles and doing layout for their newsletter- so in anticipation of my interview, I rewrote the entire thing and brought it with me. That hire was on the spot. I would have kept the job longer, when it was offered to me, but somehow the smell of cows all day didn't lend itself to my creative side.

In another interview, the owners were looking to use my photographs for a book they anticipated publishing for the architects they worked with while designing windows and doors for billionaires. In anticipation of the interview, I rewrote their company's mission statement and their professional introduction on their website's home page. That hire too was immediate.

While I was able to go and photograph one incredible home (seven fireplaces as well as seven big screen televisions the size of my living room) it didn't work out for them to get access into other completed homes. The offer to be jetting across the county photographing and writing their book was fun while it lasted. That was sweet smelling all the way around.
