Scottsdale, Arizona, United States Email: jtrx@juno.com, jtrx2002@yhoo.com While I attended a community college for one year, I am mostly self educated. By that, I mean that I studied and not just read. My fields of study were psychology, physical sciences, history, electronics, technical writing and a many other things.
I graduated from an electronic school as an electronic engineering technician and worked as a technician for several years. Later, I became a technical representative of Texas Instruments to military customers. In that capacity, I traveled in many areas of the U.S., England and Southeast Asia during the Vietnam War.
Later, as a field engineer, I was involved in testing and field modification of several military electronic systems. My specialty was infrared systems utilizing far infrared for imaging.
I later became a technical writer at Motorola Government Products Division in Scottsdale, AZ. I worked there on a temporary basis and later as a direct employee. I was with Motorola in both capacities for about 10 years.
I had three children, the youngest of which is now 34 years old and employed as a Microsoft certified systems engineer.
I have spent most of the last several years traveling and visiting relatives.
My most memorable trip was riding a bicycle from Manti, Utah to Fairbanks, AK. I am now writing a book about that experience.
