Cordelia is from England where she grew up. She began her career on Fleet Street and then in her early twenties she moved to Cairo as a freelance journalist. While living in Egypt she moved switched to the humanitarian sector and became a specialist in appropriate technology for development. As well as Egypt, she has worked in Sudan, Sierra Leone, Ethiopia and Ghana spending more than twenty years in Africa. While in Ghana she founded one of the first ecommerce websites in sub-Saharan Africa, eShopAfrica.com which creates sustainable businesses for traditional African artisans. Cordelia now lives in Rome, Italy where she works in food security and nutrition governance.
