Noelle Sullivan

West Yellowstone, Montana, United States

Home page:

I'm the editor of the blog Montana Gael
(, as well as the author of
It Happened in Southern California (Globe Pequot, 1996)
and M-e Ecci Aashi Awadi: The Knife River Indian Villages
(Theodore Roosevelt Nature & History, 1996), and many
articles, short stories, and poems. My fiction was featured
in The New Montana Story (Riverbend, 2003) and in
several literary magazines, including Fourteen Hills; my
poetry has appeared in Poetry Northwest and The
Bloomsbury Review among other sites.

My areas of expertise include American history and Irish
history, especially where the twain meet. I can provide
articles and/or book ideas for Irish music, literature,
holidays (think St. Patrick's Day!), the West, Montana,
California, and other western locales. I live at the western
edge of Yellowstone Park, and can write and research with
confidence on that topic.

I'm also an editor and indexer with specialties in the above

Interests: History and travel pieces that relate to Irish-American issues, Western American history, Irish history, Irish translation, women's history, Irish literature, Yellowstone National Park, Pacific Northwest, and the Rocky Mountains region.
