Ebru Nihan Celkan
Born in 1979 in Adana, Ebru Celkan completed her High School education in 1997 at the Şişli Terakki High School. She then graduated from the Uludag University Department of Labor Economy and then continued on to complete the MBA program in Istanbul University. She started working in 2003. In 2005, she attended an acting workshop at the Sadri Alışık Theater. In 2006, she played the ‘Drowning man’ in Anton Cehov’s ‘Dear Doctor’; the play was exhibited as part of the Sadri Alışık Theater Festival. The following year, within the same festival, she played Tavariş Dimitri Goroçenko in Jacques Duval’s “Tavariş”. At the same festival, she contibuted to the script writing of Max Aub’s ‘Exemplary Crimes’. She also acted in the play. Again for the same festival, she wrote ‘From Heaven to Hell’ and played Umut.
Currently, she continues work on performative script writing and performative theory of acting. She is also one of the playwriter who are involved with Akbank’s 3. PlayWrite Project.
Her last game named "The Hood" awarded in 3. Mitos Boyut Play Write Competition as honered play and the play published by Mitos Boyut.
