Roni DaRonche

Salt Lake City, Utah, United States

I was born in Salt Lake City, Utah in 1980, during a brief moment in my growing up, I lived in Sandy, Utah. My mother remarried and we settled in American Fork by the time I was seven. My name is very unique, but not as much as my middle name, in which my mother named me from the theme song to "Caddy Shack" (It was the 80's. Though I have had my name spelled and spoken wrong on pretty much everything my entire life long, I must admit that it sticks with you, and is much easier for people to remember). I have two brothers and three sisters. I am somewhere in the middle. My father was in the military and taught me how to be determined and diligent. My mother has been an inspiration, she is such a strong woman. She never fails to amaze me.
I went to high school in American Fork, Utah. American Fork was so small when I lived their. We had finally gotten a Wal-Mart my senior year. It was once a small country town. Where everyone cruised main street and went to the "sticky shoe" Movie theater. How the times have changed it. I don't even recognize it these days. All the shopping centers and the new homes where the fields used to be.
During my high school years I played softball, and was also in the American Fork Marching Band and Concert Band. I played the flute. Music is such a strong influence in my life and a huge part of my writing. I get so many great ideas for writing by listing to music. It is amazing how you can be taken to a total different place, just by listing to a piece of music.
I met my husband, Dan when I was a senior in high school, and we married six years later. We've been together for 10 years now, and have a dog named Hoss. We love to spend time traveling, camping and doing anything outdoors. He is such a strong supporter in my work. I LOVE YOU DAN!
The Old Manor was my very first book, and it has been such a wonderful ride and experience. I have been able to meet some wonderful people, and my book signings have been a blast. I have always loved Halloween and knew that I wanted to write about it. So most of my stories are about Halloween or revolve around the Halloween Theme.

Interests: I love writing. It has been a pasion for many years. I also love Halloween. Most of my work is based around or about Halloween.
