To be a good writer, one must be a good storyteller. Through verbally telling others bits and pieces of my life's experiences, I am one of the few persons who can say they were the subject of a piece in People Magazine or the rights to their life story was purchased by Paramount Pictures who intended the story be told in the form of a feature film.

What caught the interest of these powerhouses in their respective fields? My life story is a unique one. It is a gritty tale of the accomplishments of a five-foot-tall woman, raised in the Ghetto of Los Angeles. I've faced obstacles that would bring the average person to their knees, yet I succeeded in the end.

I am no longer telling this story, I am writing it. It is an amazing story. It will make you cry, laugh and agonize over the things I have seen and experienced.

Now my task is learning the book business--for that is exactly what it is. A business. This endeavor shall determine if I still have the drive to accomplish what I set out to do.
