Great assignment travelling around Malaysia taking photos for Thai International airline. Full time work on one of Bangkok's English language dailies, The Nation. Wrote features and edited their travel magazine, Saen Sanuk. Ten days a month spent away from office, travelling all parts of Thailand, writing and photographing. In Australia reported for Australian Associated Press, country's main news agency. Freelance sub-edited Sydney papers The Sun Herald, The Daily Mirror. Reported for ABC radio. In Indonesia was correspondent for London agency Gemini News Service and radio reported for Deutsche Welle, Germany's international broadcaster. Had to leave after three years when government objected to reporting. Moved to Cape Town, South Africa, where sub-edited daily Cape Times & Argus. In Mozambique radio reported for Deutsche Welle. After stints in Lisbon, Seville and northern Greece, moved to Japan. In Okinawa edited weekly paper, Japan Update. Now in mainland Japan where continue freelancing writing for such as Japanzine, national magazine and Transitions Abroad, U.S. based travel website.
