Ruyi quickly realized his talent for the arts including singing in a soul music group, playing the key board/piano, drawing cartoons, and writing children’s books. He published cartoons Mr. Bony and Dulljack with Vanguard Media Limited and children’s books The Adventures of Nihu with Bouncingballbooks,Shadows in a River with Netcontinental,Giant in a Hut with Learnrite, Little Okon and the Outside World with Apex, and The Treasure of a Goldsmith and Empire of the Wicked with Pekan Ven Publishers. He is a member in training of the Evangelical Christian Ministry, Roots and Wings. While continuing his artistic expression professionally, Ruyi currently lives in his hometown where he writes for children in his authentic African style.
