Heba Jahama

Amman, Jordan

Email: jahama_heba@hotmail.com

I was born in Boston in 1993, lived in the U.S. for 8 years, and then moved to Jordan 6 years ago

My brother introduced me to fiction when he suggested that I read Harry Potter. I vaguely remember being uninterested in fantasy, but that has changed drastically. I fell in love with fiction and devoured Rowling's masterpieces. After rereading the series a quite a few times, I decided to delve into the vast world of fiction. Books like "The Seventh Tower" by Garth Nix, the "Inheritance" trilogy by Christopher Paolini and the "Twilight" saga by Stephenie Meyer have kept me constricted to fantasy.

I have always been a fan of poetry, thanks to poets like Robert Frost, Richard Wilbur and Sylvia Plath. I started taking stabs at poetry in fifth grade. They were quite silly, but everything has a humble beginning right?

I have begun writing a novel of my own that I hope to publish when finished with. I like to think of myself as an aspiring poetess. I certainly hope my talents continue to blossom into a beautiful yet enduring rose...
