I am a US citizen currently living and writing in Cape Town, South Africa. I have written two books, both of which I am currently marketing to agents. I also freelance.

RUNAWAY DAYDREAM is the story of a teenaged pink haired punk princess, Cat, as she comes of age on the streets of Austin, Texas. She has escaped from two foster homes and is lying low, trying not to make it three. Through her nearly unshakeable optimism and a few serendipitous twists of fate, she enjoys life, encounters love, teaches a neophyte a few survival tricks, faces off against a jealous would-be beau, ends up back briefly in the system, and finds her way to a new life.

Cat tells her own story in a no nonsense but upbeat style, colored with her descriptions and opinions of the characters that populate her world. She has little trust for most adults, which play peripheral but significant roles in her life, though ultimately she learns that not all adults are bad people.

HARDCORE is a longer and darker work. There exists in America an underlying subculture of movement, which everyday people glimpse from time to time. You sometimes see these travelers carrying packs full of their belongings in cities and on roadsides. The hitchhikers. The tramps. The intrepid travelers. The vehicles full of youths on their way to who knows where.

In the midst of these frenetic movements of people is Zero, a traveler drifting without purpose or direction, at times beaten down but never vanquished. In his travels he has walked a gray line, thieving and conning to get by, not because he has to but because he is good at it and, by doing so, he can make his life easier. Along the way he attracts the attention of the Wizard, who is bent on twisting all he touches and coercing people to do his will. The story becomes a battle for Zero’s soul, as inner demons and past misdeeds combine, attempting to take from him the only thing he treasures: freedom. He survives with the help of Ghost, a fellow traveler, who offers his compassion. At its core, it is about the struggle between good and evil that occurs within us all.
