Amy Lemley has worked in every facet of publishing, writing and editing for

to Amy Lemley to transform their complex technical material into lively, informative
prose. A seasoned book editor, Lemley has worked closely with many published
authors, including a best-selling nonfiction writer, a preeminent art historian, a law
school dean, and an internationally renowned environmental scientist. Lemley is

After getting her start as a newspaper reporter, Lemley worked as a freelance book
editor for several New York publishers and later as a copy editor for a leading
wellness publisher. At 25, she was named editor in chief of Albemarle, a regional
lifestyle magazine. Later, she became a columnist for the Charlottesville Observer.
She established Amy Lemley Communications in 1992.
