Having spent many years as a school headmistress, Brenda Ní Shúilleabháin changed careers and became a television producer. From her series, Bibeanna, (Irish for overalls), the story of women in the last century, developed her book, Bibeanna, Memories from a Corner of Ireland.

She loves writing, and has completed another book, The Battle of Ventry, and is halfway through a second. She is, however, terrified of putting those in the public arena! So she is joining for moral support!

Her other great love is travel, to unusual destinations, the Sinai desert, the Trans-Mongolian Railway, Timbuktu, and, this year, more common - Macchu Picchu and the Nazca lines.
